Mr. Not So Lucky! This old sign, a relic from the early days of downtown Las Vegas gambling, once featured a Leprechaun tipping his hat to passersby. Laid to rest at the boneyard, his fate took an unexpected turn when a homeless man sought refuge in the hollow frame, lighting a fire to stay warm. The damage remains visible today. I never altered my compositions, so it felt especially ironic that the word 'REST,' from a restaurant sign, ended up perfectly placed in front of the gutted remains of the Fitzgerald's Leprechaun.
