Peeling Light

This is another piece that I did from a photograph that I took. I painted it a decade later and it has a different quality. I love how the bulbs always kept their light, even unplugged and broken down. The enamel paint would peel away and remind me of other passages of time we marvel at in nature, like lichen and pecked over mussel shells.
