Facing Things

The third and final evolution of the self portrait.

I have been wanting to combine collage and painting and dove more deeply into newly learned techniques . Using hand painted papers and acrylics I transformed one perfectly valid self portrait into another and treasured much of what I discovered along the way. I was uncomfortable enough with something in the first rendering that I had to journey through to the Self. I love all stages of it now for what it has taught me.
