I would explore the city of San Francisco with my rolling carry on bag filled with art supplies until I found an inspired spot to paint. I was captured by the view from the Vallejo stairs. Here I am sitting in the shade of this enormous tree that takes up most of the composition leaving you glimpses of Coit Tower, Transamerica building and the bay bridge. It is gouache on my journal papers.
