I sat on many of the ships at Hyde Street Pier to capture the beautiful views of the city and of the bay. this is from the Balclutha, by far one of the most exceptional ships. I painted there so much. I remember how my horizon line would bob on windy days.

This is a gouache painting on hand made black paper. It is one of my favorites from another time I truly enjoyed my en plein aire painting.
