The Circus Bar was a lively colorful spot in the center of Panajachel, Guatemala. Musicians came from all over the world and played in the evenings. I found myself there late mornings before the lunch crowd setting about how to conquer interior paintings, something I had never done before. I mapped my way through each composition which was done on bright red paper with gouache paints.

This was my first painting from there.
