I love cemeteries. I have visited them in cities and countries all over the world. It’s almost a pun to say how peaceful they are, but it is true. As Guatemalan tombs are all above ground there are so many truly beautiful mausoleum's that are sculpted. Others are depicted with beautiful paintings of loved ones.
I have a few of these paintings from three different cemeteries in this country. It’s not a spot listed in tourist guide books but I highly recommend it.
