Sassy Sally’s had a classic Old West theme, complete with a sassy cowgirl figure that symbolized the lively spirit of downtown Las Vegas. This cowgirl, originally known as Sassy Sally, was eventually renamed Vegas Vickie when the nearby Glitter Gulch casino and strip club took over the area. In 1980, this iconic neon cowgirl, with her signature kicking leg, became a symbol of Fremont Street. She "married" the neighboring neon cowboy, Vegas Vic, in 1994, creating a famous duo.
In 2017, Vegas Vickie was removed to make way for the construction of Circa Resort & Casino. After a meticulous restoration, she was relocated inside Circa’s hotel in 2020, where she now serves as a central feature of the lobby, welcoming guests with her radiant glow and continuing to embody the neon history of Las Vegas?.
As for the lantern in the foreground, it is from the House of Lords, it belonged to the famous fine-dining restaurant in the Sahara Hotel, which was known for its luxurious ambiance and high-quality service during the height of its operation. This restaurant was a hallmark of elegance on the Las Vegas Strip, complementing the Sahara’s opulent reputation.
