At one time, this sign was as glorious as a pink flamingo on the Strip, its vibrant colors and lights once captivating all who passed by. Though its shine has dimmed over the years, it still retains a quiet brilliance here at the Boneyard. This piece is one of the four paintings in the collection that I created from a photograph. As individual paintings were sold, the collection became culled, and when I decided to complete a series of 52, I had to supplement some of my original on-site paintings with images I had photographed. This allowed me to preserve moments I could no longer revisit in person, ensuring the integrity of the series.
