This was the first painting I created at the old Neon Boneyard. My friend Dan Romano, who was instrumental in scouting and saving signs before they were destroyed during demolitions, brought humor and charm to the boneyard by arranging salvaged letters into words like "Honor." These particular letters came from Binion's Horseshoe, while the yellow letters were rescued from the Trea$ury. These were the last remnants Dan could save before the demolition crews, their patience running thin, ended their careful efforts. The letters stand as a playful yet poignant reminder of what was nearly lost.
